It has to send a general broadcast out on the lan and then receive multiple packets back which are not general broadcasts. I can send the general broadcasts but I am having trouble receiving the returned packets (they are sent on the lan). Microsoft seem not to want to comment to much on the subject, when I ask microsoft UK about it they say don't know. I have also noticed that the NWLink samples that come with the C 7.0 NT-SDK do not appear in the samples with VC++ for NT. If some one from Microsoft reads this mail try making a comment!! What are you looking for? A WinSock for Novell's version of TCP/IP or a WinSock for IPX/SPX? For Windows 3.1, I believe you can get a WinSock for Novell's TCP/IP from their bboard or from CompuServe.
