The tar archive thesis.dvi.tar contains the files
	thesis.dvi
	script10.tfm
	script10.300pk
	script10.329pk

Please type
	gunzip thesis.dvi.tar.gz
	tar xvf thesis.dvi.tar
and install the files
	script10.tfm
	script10.300pk
	script10.329pk
(if necessary) where your TeX version needs them.
