I've released for general consumption (unsupported; under the GPL) my LPng package. This provides my versions of lpstat and cancel that are designed to provide better compatibility with applications that expect to use specific flags and parse the output under Solaris, while communicating to an LPRng lpd daemon. (This package also seems to work under HP-UX 10.20.) Also included is a small patch for LPRng 3.2.6 to change the request id generated by "lp" to a form more consistent with Solaris (and of the form accepted by "cancel".) This new release fixes some problems with exit status codes for lpstat and cancel. I'm also leaving QUALCOMM to take a new position at Sun Microsystems, so the URL for lpng has changed as well.
