Ok,i'll start it. And i have now a new idea to test: a script to auto search a
known byte string and patch on the found address, instead of manually finding
the interesting addresses. Once a string is known, provided it is unique,
several kernels will use the same patch with no problem.

Really good idea! I have done it before for DOS programs. We may start testing
it with keyboard map files, as you stated in other mail.
