Music Library Management App - Overview
---------------------------------------

This application demonstrates a simple music library management web app written
in PHP 5.x. It does not rely on any external framework and tries to maintain a
simplistic approach to PHP programming rather than adhere to any design
paradigm such as MVC.

Requirements
------------

This application was written and tested under PHP 5.2.6, but may
work on earlier PHP versions. With the stock configuration file,
it does not require a database server, and uses the SQLite embedded
database. It can be configured to work with other types of database
servers.

For the stock configuration, the PDO and PDO_sqlite extensions are
required. If your system does not include them you can install by
running the following commands as root (Ubuntu):
  apt-get install php5-dev
  apt-get install php-pear
  sudo pecl install pdo
  sudo pecl install pdo_sqlite
and adding these two lines to your system's php.ini file:
  extension = pdo.so
  extension = pdo_sqlite.so

Installation
------------
- Extract somewhere (outside of your document root!)
- Link the document_root directory to somewhere under your server's
  document root
- Allow the web server to write to the data/ directory - can be done,
for example, by running 'chmod 777 data' from the app root directory.
- That's it!

Directory Structure
-------------------
document_root - the application's document root, where the web server's
document root must point. This directory contains most of the
presentation and user experience related code. It's the only
directory that should be accessible to remote users.

	common - Common template files

	style - CSS files

config - Application configuration. The jukebox-config.php file under
this directory can be edited to change the database type /
location / credentials used by this app.

data - Data files. Must be writable by the web server. Currently
only used to store SQLite DB files (if SQLite is used).

library - Library and business logic classes
