As ironic as it sounds, the GNU tar-1.11.2.exe at this site does NOT
work with tape devices.  However, another version of GNU tar was
recently pointed out to me that should work with tape devices under
both Win95 and NT on x86 machines, and I've placed that version in the
i386 directory (see i386/README.win95tar.txt for more info).
